Bedford Driving School
Bedford Driving School normally operate in and around the Bedford area but we take on pupils throughout Bedfordshire.
A Proven Track Record
We have taken many pupils through instruction to pass their test first time, and have helped other drivers to reacquaint themselves with the roads with refresher lessons.
We belong to the following organisations:
Approved Driving Instructor (DSA - ADI)
BADDIA member

Pass Plus accredited
Approved Driving Instructor (DSA)

Bedford Driving School adopt a very simple policy towards instruction: know your pupil and build a rapport. This is the key to success.
We understand that everybody is a unique individual. Some will take to driving with confidence and optimism; others will be understandably hesitant when navigating a ton of steel and plastic on the Bedford highways.
Some will take to town driving while balking at the thought of 70 mph motorway driving. It boils down to the individual.
In truth, it is simply a matter of vehicle control and responding to external road events like road and weather conditions, other vehicle drivers and pedestrians.
We understand that what for experienced drivers is second nature, learners frequently find it difficult to co-ordinate seemingly complex driving maneuvers or get to grips with the hand/foot dexterity to engage gears, brake and accelerate.
As a rule of thumb, most learner drivers require about 30 hourly lessons before they are ready to take their practical test, although the DSA recommends setting aside 45 hours driving tuition. Some take less, others require more tuition before they feel sufficiently confident to drive by themselves.
We never put a pupil forward for the driving test unless they are fully prepared and, in our opinion, equipped to pass. As well as a duty of care towards our pupils, we must also consider the examiner by not placing them in jeopardy!
